LOU & PETER BERRYMAN
“Hilariously skewed…melodically and lyrically intricate…delightfully strange” -Acoustic Guitar

Musical humorists who have delighted nationwide audiences for more than thirty-five years. Frequent comparisons to Tom Lehrer, Flanders & Swann, and Gilbert & Sullivan notwithstanding, these two are originals, blending Midwestern culture with intelligent observation in a whimsical and wonderfully accessible performance. They jointly write quirky, oddly profound songs, rich with word play and priceless, often sidesplitting, images.
There is really, truly no one like them. “A Chat with Your Mother” (about the f-word), “Why Am I Painting the Living Room?” are folk classics.
Pete Seeger: “Long may they wave!”

TOM RUSH
“Tom Rush roams - wild and free - a vast musical
territory. He is very good.” -The Washington Post

Tom Rush is a gifted musician and performer, whose
shows offer a musical celebration...a journey into the tradition and spectrum of what music has been, can be, and will become. His distinctive guitar style, wry humor and warm, expressive voice have made him both a legend and a lure to audiences around the world. His shows are filled with the rib-aching laughter of terrific story-telling, the sweet melancholy of ballads and the passion of gritty blues.

Folk, blues musician, singer-songwriter and environmental activist, he is credited by Rolling Stone for “ushering in the era of the singer-songwriter.”
$28; $50 Gold Circle & pre-show artist reception GE Theatre

TOM PAXTON
“In a small village near Calcutta, in 1998, a villager
who could not speak English sang me ‘What Did You Learn in School Today?’ in Bengali! Tom Paxton’s songs are reaching around the world more than he,
or an of us, could have realized.” -Pete Seeger

Folk music legend Paxton continues to write some of our
most enduring folksongs, which include distinctive love songs, longing for the road, songs that nail our cultural absurdities and dangers. His “short shelf-life songs” are a delicious collection that fade with the headlines that inspire them. Over the years he’s skewered Wayne Bobbitt, Jimmy Carter’s attack rabbit and, oh, boy, we can’t wait for this newest crop.
How lucky we are...Tom Paxton is a man of uncommon common sense, vision, humanity and a strong sense of the absurd: bard, poet and humanist. As Pete Seeger put it, “Keep on, Tom!”
$30 /$28 advance $35 Gold Circle GE Theatre

PEGGY & PETE SEEGER
"For decades, Peggy Seeger has been one of the most authoritative voices in American and English folk.” -Billboard

Folksinger and multi-instrumentalist, Peggy Seeger is regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of US and UK traditional folk songs, and a major inspiration to a generation of feminist singer-songwriters. Hers is the face of the  song The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face written by her husband, British folksinger-activist Ewan MacColl. The MacColl/Seeger duo was at the forefront of the British folksong revival for three decades.
"This machine surrounds hate and forces it to surrender” -Pete Seeger (banjo inscription)
For nearly 80 years as a performer, Pete Seeger has embodied the ideals of folk music - communication, entertainment, social comment, historical continuity, inclusiveness. He and his wife Toshi launched sloop Clearwater, flagship of the environmental movement worldwide, and led the cleanup of our beautiful Hudson River.
THIS IS PEGGY & PETE’S ONLY CONCERT THIS YEAR!
In honor of their late brother John Seeger, Peggy & Pete dedicate concert proceeds to Camp Killooleet, a traditional summer camp for children ages 7-16 in the Green Mountain National Forest, Hancock, Vermont. Camp Killooleet was run and nourished for over 50 years by John & his late wife Eleanor.

VISHTÈN     CD Release: Mōsaïk
“The burning fires of Acadia!”  -Le Télégramme, France

“The Acadian band that mixes rhythms or irresistible dancing and climbing notes and voices to the sky…high voltage musicians”
                            -Le Guérat, France
In the North Atlantic Ocean, in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence off of Canada's east coast, lays tiny Prince Edward Island and nearby, the even smaller archipelago known as the Magdalen Islands (les Îles de la Madeleine). In addition to being connected today by a ferryboat, both Islands have a shared history and a shared cultural tie that dates back several centuries.
The group is made up of seventh generation Acadians living separate but parallel musical experiences. Twin sisters Pastelle & Emmanuelle LeBlanc from Prince Edward Island, Canada have teamed up with Pascal Miousse from the nearby Magdalen Islands to create a sound that incorporates elements of the new ways while retaining and staying true to the essential Acadian spirit of their roots.
Their captivating music is essentially Celtic, but with a difference.
The songs are French, sung by each band member either solo or in four-part harmony. Foot percussion drives a fiddle tune but goes quiet in the gentler musical moments. Accomplished multi-instrumentalists and step-dancers, these musicians bring fiddle, guitar, accordion, pennywhistle, banjo, mandolin, piano, jaw-harp and bodhran into each awe-inspiring, joyful performance.
                                                                $26 / $24 advance GE Theatre

JOHN McEUEN & MARTHA REDBONE
THE MARTHA REDBONE ROOTS PROJECT
CD Release: Garden of Love
McEuen & Redbone proudly introduce this stunning, critically
acclaimed CD Garden of Love: a collection of William Blake
poems set to the music of her mother’s Appalachia by Native
American singer-songwriter Redbone, produced by McEuen,
Grammy-winning founder of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (Steve Martin –
The Crow).
Warm, woodsy melodies take flight through fusion of largely
prewar string band instrumentation and the heartworn mountain
holler, as Sister Martha tells tales distilled in the Southland since
before America was founded.
Both artists will appear in separate sets and also perform together.
Redbone’s music flows equally from her own unique, award-
winning blend of Native American elements with funk and her
deep roots in Appalachian folk and Piedmont blues favored by
the matriarchy that raised her on a rich sojourn from Clinch
Mountain, Virginia to Harlan County, Kentucky and beyond to
Brooklyn’s Dodge City-esque mean streets.
Multi-instrumentalist McEuen has continually performed since 1964 -
8,500 concerts and 300 television shows throughout more than 3 million
miles - both with the band and as a solo performer. Beyond performing,
he has a rich history of creating, producing and preserving original and
traditional folk and acoustic music, and taking it to new audiences.
Supported by Sista Factory $28/$26 advance GE Theatre
