JOHN McCUTCHEON - An All-Request Concert
“The multi-instrumentalist wonder, a master at leading into a song with a story” THE SUN
A Mandolin Livestream
Singer-songwriter, storyteller and master instrumentalist McCutcheon sings live in concert for old friends - this year’s Northeast Tour.
Whether in print, on record, or on stage, few people communicate with the versatility, charm, wit or pure talent of John McCutcheon. But in live performance McCutcheon feels most at home. He has brought his music into the lives and homes of one of the broadest audiences any folk musician has ever enjoyed. People of every generation and background seem to feel at home in a concert hall when John McCutcheon takes the stage, creating what critics describe as "little feats of magic," "breathtaking in their ease and grace..." and "like a conversation with an illuminating old friend.”
He’s appeared for decades at The Step, most recently in 2019 to release his critically acclaimed Pete Seeger tribute album; he returned for our first Songs at Sagamore Adirondack weekend of workshops, classes & public performance in August 2019 with Tret Fure, Guy Davis, Dan Berggren and Sara Milonovich.
One of America's most respected and loved folksingers, McCutcheon is master of a dozen different traditional instruments, most uniquely the rare and beautiful hammer dulcimer. Hailed by critics and singers around the globe, his 41 recordings have garnered every imaginable honor, including seven Grammy nominations.
Tickets: General Admission $20 / Family $30 / Student $10 / Unemployed or Laid Off $5
