“Fluid, gorgeous, ravishing, ditsy, inventive, gritty elegant. The music cast an intimate spell” BOSTON HERALD
Folk legend and long-time contemporary singer--songwriter-guitarist-storyteller, Rush began his long, celebrated career as performer at a Harvard Square Open Mic as a student in 1960s Boston, championing the songs of Joni Mitchell, Jackson Brown and more as well as his own. James Taylor counts Rush as an influence on his music, as do other major artists.
Tom Rush’s impact on the American music scene has been profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the ’60s and the renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s, his music having left its stamp on generations of artists. After more than five decades writing and playing on stages worldwide, he still does what audiences love him for…passionately, tenderly…knitting together the musical traditions and talents of our times.
