“Music to heal what ails you”

- MICHIGAN TIMES

“Fresh, vital, relevant”

- WATERLOO RECORD (Canada)

David Tamulevich and Michael Hough and Libby Glover are the new iteration of a long-time popular folk duo featuring Tamulevich and Hough from Michigan, raconteurs of the first order. They’re joined now by Glover, who goes ‘way back to their earliest roots.

Witty, insightful, fun and profound, Mustard’s Retreat has been delighting audiences with songs and stories for decades. They’re also accomplished songwriters and musicians, playing guitars, dulcimer, electric bass, mandolin, harmonica and penny whistle. Tales of stupid frogs, wandering cadavers, haunted bridges and techno-nerds, memories of small towns and high school, first loves and last - you’ll remember these vignettes for eons after the stage is dark.

The honesty of what they present onstage and the extensive body of outstanding original songs and recordings all contribute to a fiercely loyal audience that continues to grow. “Music to cure what ails you” was how one reviewer in the 1970s described them, and that is as true now as it was then.

They’ve traveled more than a million miles and performed more than 6,000 shows, from pig roasts and pool parties to Lincoln Center Out of Doors, The Barns at Wolftrap and the Kennedy’s Center’s Millennium Stage. Glover brings a fresh sound and warm presence to an evening of warmth, laughter and camaraderie.
